October 2011 - Awesome!! Had a quilting retreat this weekend at this hotel. Beautiful scenery, a very friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms and food were wonderful. Would love to go back and take the family. Trip Advisor Guest - Fargo, North Dakota
September 2011 - Location and Relaxation Located directly on the lake. Rooms have a room length balcony with chairs and a table overlooking the lake. Unobstructed sunset view. We were there in the fall and it was very quiet. Front desk people were wonderful. If you choose to eat there, the food is good and well priced, even if the bartender heats it up in the microwave in the back! Minimal choices and seating though. Clean rooms and nice towels and linens. Would go back in a heartbeat! Trip Advisor Guest - Minnesota
September 2011 - WOW!! This was our first trip to Minnesota and were plesantly surprized with The Lodge On The Lake in Detroit. We spent one day in Detroit Lakes on Sept 18/11 and would return agin in a heart beat. My husband and myself loved the log cabin feel of the place. We spent only one night at The Lodge and wished we could have changed our plans to extend our stay here it was that wonderful. We just fell in love with the place. The location is great, the Lodge over looks the lake, the view from the lobby, the dinning area, the bar/lounge area and our room were breath taking. We had a front row seat to a wonderful sunset. One would expect the price to be higher as the Lodge was pretty classy but it wasn't. The staff was very helpful and freindly. Trip Advisor Guest - Kenora, Canada
August 2011 - Wonderful Stay, Once again! We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful stay, once again. Our check in was very quick. Kyle did a great job. Our room was perfect. I love the relaxing music when you enter the room. The breakfast was solid with many choices. Pool area and beach were fabulous. Angie and Kyle were both very helpful during our stay. We were in town for a half marathon once again. The only recomendation would be that if breakfast was started earlier on race day. It is open at 7am and 5am or 6am would be really helpful to accomdate the runners better. Also, if the spa could be open on Sunday for a day after massage. Overall, I wouldn't recommend another hotel in DL unless you would like to cuts costs to save on relaxation and serenity. Thanks for wonderful stay. We already have our rooms booked for next years race! Trip Advisor Guest - Phoenix
July 1, 2011 - This is the BEST Best Western I have ever stayed in, by far. It is a beautiful place that is obviously taken well care of by staff. The breakfast was outstanding both mornings I was there. Leagues above other chains and even other Best Western's. This was the first place I've stayed on my trip this year where recycling baskets were next to trash baskets in my room and throughout the hotel. This should be standard at all Best Westerns. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Brenda on the afternoon shift. I loved my stay at this hotel and was sorry to leave. L.S. - Gresham, OR
June 30, 2011 - One thing that stood out was the friendliness of all employees. I was especially impressed with the little cleaning gal we had on Friday morning. (maybe a college student... young and really friendly and helpful gal) This was a great place to stay.... I meant to talk to the staff about the exercise equipment, but didn't have time to stop after workout and then forgot. M.B. - Milbank, SD
June 20, 2011 - In going through this survey I find myself giving the highest ratings ... it's no error or laziness on my part. I was extremely satisfied with the hotel. The entire hotel was extremely clean and it was so fun to be able to use the Spa Within also. I'm looking forward to my next stay at this same hotel.! M.K.L. – Jamestown, ND
May 17, 2011 - From the moment we arrived, we relaxed and enjoyed ourselves at The Lodge. The staff was friendly and helpful; the room was very comfortable
and well-appointed; the hot breakfast was outstanding; and the view was wonderful. Thanks for a great mini-vacation; we will be back next year! S. M. - Bismarck, ND
May 06, 2011 - We had a mother daughter spa weekend and had a great time everyone was so nice. We plan on another with my sister and our girls and our
mother. Thanks for everything! The room was very comfortable and had to try out the shower in the room, it was wonderful. Beautifully decorated accommodations! D. C. - Little Falls, MN
May 07, 2011 - I first heard about The Lodge at a function at the Centennial Hall in Fargo a couple of years ago, and signed up for your e-mailings . . . It was our 35th wedding anniversary on the 7th, and there was a special package with the wine tasting event, and thought it would be a nice way to celebrate. We were NOT disappointed :-) Enjoyed it very much! C. D. - Moorhead, MN
April 16, 2011 - The Lodge is a beautiful place to stay - extremely clean room, friendly staff and just a wonderful place to stay! A. V. - Bemidji, MN
April 16, 2011 - We attended the Murder Mystery Event and it was excellent, and the rooms are so nice and the staff, we had a great time. P. C. - Fargo, ND
February 12, 2011 - We came to the Lodge to escape the winter with a girls night out and spa day. We all loved the experience so much we decided it should be a yearly event. Lovely, cozy hotel with warm, welcoming staff. D. H. - Portland, ND
February 11, 2011 - I personally did not use The Spa but my granddaughters did. They had facials and chocolate manicures and were so impressed by them. You made a couple hockey girls very happy. Thanks for a great stay!!! M. R. - International Falls, MN
February 11, 2011 - We were there for our daughter's hockey tournament and the staff is always so accommodating. She also had her first massage and the staff made her feel very comfortable. She especially liked going a half hour ahead of time to be able to take a steam bath and just relax. Thank you so much for making our stay a getaway! T. S. - International Falls, MN
February 3, 2011 - My biggest, "congratulations" on the prestigious award. Your sustainable-oriented business model is an excellent example for your peers and other industries. We are very proud of your accomplishments and leadership role with eco-tourism, not only within the state, but surrounding regions as well. T.G. District Administrator PRW
January 14, 2011 - It was a great experience and everyone was very welcoming! I'd love to bring my whole family and maybe we'll do that in the summer Thanks for a great time! S.R. - Winnipeg, MB
January 08, 2011 - The facility was beautiful and kept very clean. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning in the future. Our stay this time was short, and would likely stay longer in the future. D. P. - Lake Elmo, MN
November 19, 2010 - A bunch of us ladies that work together in Fargo wanted to get away and have a spa day and the Lodge was absolutely perfect for what we wanted.
We will definitely be coming back!! Only next time we will be bringing more of us! S. E. - Perham, MN
November 13, 2010 - Wonderful place!! Perfect! J. P. - M. R. - Hawley, MN
November 13, 2010 - Such an awesome stay in the spa suite. Everyone was so cordial & having the whole resort to ourselves the second night was very "special". As ordered, the champagne & cheesecake waiting for us, was great touch! Thank you much (Kudos for all your "green" efforts) D. B. - St. Cloud MN
November 13, 2010 - Awesome! J. P. - M. R. - Hawley, MN
November 5, 2010 - The Lodge in Detroit Lakes worked perfectly for our annual road trip this year. J. P. - Detroit Lakes, MN
November 05, 2010 - My sister and I were totally stressed due to our high-pressure jobs. We needed to get away for a couple days to decompress. Oh, my. We chose the right place! It was fantastic, from the moment we walked in. The staff, the room, the Spa, everything was such high quality and we both felt like queens (doesn't happen often). The whole experience was delightful and I'd recommend The Lodge to anyone. We'll be back and bring our other sisters and friends. I've never had such a good massage but the best part of all was the friendly, funny, observant staff. Everything we needed or desired they instinctively knew it and made it happen, with a sincere smile. I love this place and have never felt more comfortable and welcome at a hotel. Congratulations to the managers and staff for the best hotel experience ever! J. Q. - Bismarck, ND
October 28, 2010 - The woman who checked me in Thursday night 10/28 was exceptional. Although she was balancing several jobs at the time (receptionist, bar, preparing appetizers), she did it with grace, and still remained extremely welcoming and kind. She was exactly what I needed after a very long day and tiring drive. I also loved having access to appetizers - hit the spot when arriving later in the evening, and allowed me to eat on site without having to go out and look for food. M. G. - St. Paul, MN
October 29, 2010 - I feel a very big connection to the Lodge and its staff. People there go out of there way to make a vacation special and that counts A LOT. The rooms are so comfortable and clean. I love the music that plays when you come in and the view and I love that you can borrow a DVD player to watch movies. I have stayed 3 times in 2010 and I hope to be back for even more in 2011. I won't sign up for e-mail updates as I watch your facebook posts instead. Please thank the staff we worked with - especially the woman who worked the front desk around noon on Halloween. She helped us use our resort credit to buy shower gel and a Lodge Hoodie (we forgot to use it prior while shopping in the spa). You guys should get even MORE merchandise like that! And more extended sized. The XL fit me but I like to get t-shirts in 2x for pjs etc. THANKS AGAIN! E. T. - Fargo, ND
October 01, 2010 - We enjoyed our time there very much. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Spa Within was amazing. Sam is an amazing massage therapist!! V. N. - Aberdeen, SD
September 30, 2010 - A great change from the cookie cutter chain properties. In the few times I have stayed at the Lodge, I have always been extremely satisfied. M. B. - Grand Rapids, MI
September 25, 2010 Angie, was very helpful for our family while we were there. She definitely cares about her job and more importantly The Lodge.
S. D. - Grand Island, NY
September 17, 2010 The whole experience was delightful. The staff, everyone from check-in to check-out, were very accommodating. We were traveling by motorcycle and were told we were welcome to park under the canopy so the bike didn't get wet in the rain. Really nice to be given that option without having to ask. It was a great, pleasant experience and I will gladly recommend the hotel to friends and family. Thank-you.

September 16, 2010 It will be a few years before we'll be able to come back to the DL area. But our boys and their families will likely be returning to visit and take in a Laker Football game next fall. Again, Sheila and I enjoyed our stay at the Lodge and the visiting with friends at the campfire pit that evening was special. The room was very comfortable, the staff was just awesome, and the breakfast was great. Thanks again.
C. T. - Two Harbors, MN
September 15, 2010 The Lodge met our expectations and more. A lovely place, they have thought of all the small things that make it special. The fresh water for drinking in the lobby area and in the breakfast room is wonderful touch. The fresh, homemade tasty egg dish was delish as well as the fresh fruits that were served! Real dishes and silverware made all the difference in the world. Quality built large rooms and the bathroom was really a cut above most. The only thing missing there is a shower grab bar. All Staff very friendly and helpful, but could use more help in the bar/lobby at night during prime time. Everything was so clean the indoor pool was stocked with nice towels. At mid-week it was not too busy with families, so it was a quiet cozy get-a-way despite the rain. Wine by the fireplace in the lobby bar in the evening was another added touch to our liking.
D. L. - Edina, MN
September 14, 2010 The Spa Within is why we come to The Lodge. The quality of therapists rivals any location I've been to in the country and it offers wraps that I have not been able to find anywhere else, even other spas that use Pevonia products! I would like to have more comfortable chairs in the relaxation area and a quieter, more soothing waterfall. It's nearly PERFECT!

September 13, 2010 Great time, great hotel!

September 11, 2010We had a renewal spa suite and enjoyed it immensely. We loved the soothing sounds from the alarm, the fireplace and the balcony. It is great to see a hotel going green. I left a brochure on Norwex products with the front desk as the product I sell goes right along with your hotel theme. I will recommend your hotel to many of my customers as well as business associates. Thank you for a great weekend.

September 03, 2010 We liked the cozy atmosphere. The breakfast room was open all the time for water/coffee, we played games in there in the evening. I have told friends about the Lodge.

August 08, 2010 Our family and friends love the Lodge. We celebrated our 40th Anniversary last year and had a terrific time at the Lodge even though it was a cold summer. This was our third year of returning and brought friends from MO and Minneapolis who were very impressed. Everyone loves the lake, the spa, the pool and the staff members are amazing. Boating, picnic, smore's and more . . . What else could one ask for :) Thanks!!
S. K. - Moorhead, MN
August 09, 2010 The Lodge is more like a retreat than a vacation. Retreat and quiet atmosphere can be hard to find.

July 23, 2010 - Our stay was so enjoyable. The staff was especially friendly, professional and accommodating. We made full use of the amenities with the exception of the Spa and Fitness Center - but why frequent those when you have a lovely beach at your doorstep? Excellent, excellent, excellent!
M. T. - Payson, AZ
July 15, 2010 - The Lodge has a wonderful atmosphere. You have a luxury hotel without the stuffy luxury hotel feeling. The staff was wonderful and were able to help with all of our needs during the stay. The rooms are great and very well decorated. The rooms had everything you would need for your stay. I will be back next summer.
T. C. - Ripley, TN
July 04, 2010 - Jim was awesome by getting my room ready early so I could check in and prepare the room. The reason for the room was I asked my girl friend to marry me and she said yes! Thanks again!

June 16, 2010 - The Lodge On Lake Detroit provides a great combination of amenities for leisure travelers as well as business travelers. I have always had great service at every level and positive satisfaction when staying at the lodge for business needs and plan on doing so in the future! J. D. - St. Paul, MN
June 03, 2010 This was one of the best birthdays I've ever had and I've had 54 of them now! The room was wonderful - from the relaxing music playing when we walked in, the lake view and private balcony, the under counter bathroom lighting (that was great!), the quietness at night - to the terrific massage from Sam and courtesy from the Spa staff! The breakfast - WOW should cover it!
B. C. - West Fargo, ND
05/2910 The Lodge is a beautiful - great place. Now that the trains can no longer blow the horns and wake one up all night long - The Lodge is perfect. J. A. I. - St. Thomas, ND
May 29, 2010 - A little slice of heaven! - At first glance the room's appear just slightly better than average. Upon further inspection little touches, like nightlighting under the counter in the bathroom counter a real blowdryer, and a comfy kingsize bed. All rooms face the Detroit Lakes. Fantastic View. Free BBQ(s) to use firewood for the firepits (2x), Kyaks and Paddel boats. The staff are genuinly happy to help. Breakfast is free. Fresh fruit, waffels with toppings, something different and tasty a quiche. A selection of coffees, the typical stuff to, toast etc. The Bar is small, but stock with quality wines and tasty cocktails. Relax in the open main area with Grand piano playing. Spa is first class, also nice pool area and hot tub.

May 22, 2010 - I didn't want to leave! - The Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. I was impressed with the attention to detail when it comes to going "green": The breakfast buffet, which featured a great selection of food for all eating styles, had cloth napkins, silverware, and dishes as opposed to the massive amounts of styrofoam and paper waste I have seen at other establishments. Even the half and half for coffee came in a dispenser rather than those little plastic cups! Recycling bins were clearly marked throughout the hotel, and even the rooms had the option to separate recycling from trash. The toiletries came in coated paper containers instead of plastic bottles. The beds are extremely comfortable and luxurious, with extra pillows. The staff is friendly and pays attention to detail. The view of the lake is gorgeous. I love the Lodge and can't wait to return!

May 17, 2010 - Gorgeous location, beautiful clean rooms, friendly staff and fabulous spa! - Friends getaway We stayed here for ours annual girl's weekend, two of drive down from Manitoba to meet our friend who lives in Minneapolis. It was beyond what we expected. The lodge and rooms are beautiful. Our room had a private patio that looked over the lake. The spa is fantastic - get a massage by Sam. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, they helped us set up a bonfire when we got back from Zorba's late at night. We will definitely be back.

Apr 14, 2010 - Great Experience! - I would highly recommend staying at The Lodge on Lake Detroit. I stay here frequently for business and I love it! The ammentities are great, the Lake View is beautiful and the staff is extremely friendly. Tripadvisor Guest, St Paul, MN
3/19/ - 3/21/10 We came here to celebrate our 10th anniv. And we had a wonderful weekend, largely due to our stay here. It was quiet, clean, relaxing. I made a last min. appt at the spa and they fit me in Sat evening we went to Lola D's to try a Martini and found Angie who was wonderful funny and very enjoyable to. Doran, MN Guest
January 28, 2010 Always something to look forward to! We've stayed with the Lodge on Lake Detroit for 5 or 6 years now over the Christmas holiday season. We come to DL to visit family, but secretly we love to com to DL so we can stay a this hotel! As for as hotels go for this region, it's on a whole other level. This is the quality of Lodge-style you would find in more of a metropolitan area that would require a higher standard. Nothing in the area touches this hotel as far as uniqueness, quality, comfort and cleanliness. READ FULL REVIEW Denver, CO TripAdvisor Guest
January 26, 2010 - My husband and I have stayed at the Lodge for an extended weekend now for the past 3 years and call it our "winter getaway". It's truly amazing the feeling of just total relaxation, quiet, luxurious rooms, great staff, wonderful complete breakfast, cozy jazz concerts on the weekend in a roomy lounge with fireplace and grand piano. We have stayed in motels throughout several states and there is nothing that compares with this Lodge on Lake Detroit.

November 2, 2009 - Girlfriend Getaway Weekend - The Lodge was a total relaxation dream come true from the moment I walked through the front door and was greeted by the gal at the front desk! The spa, the scents, the sights of the lake from our room and on the beach were magnifico! The service from the front desk, spa and bar area people were great and non-stressful! I needed to relax and unwind and this was the perfect place over Labor Day weekend. The Fireside Restaurant was within walking distance and was also a tremendous bonus! The dining experience there was a true compliment of wonderful food, service and a view that was so delightful we dined there each night of our two day stay. Spa by Day and Dine by Night!

June 17, 2009 - Pure Boutique Pleasure Stay & Massage - We just got back from a wonderful weekend stay at The Lodge. The room had everything; warm cozy stylish decor and appointments. Our five year old loved the patio door direct to the lake. The staff are happy here and service was always comfortable. The 'Spa Inside' proved that even remote destination resorts can offer top quality treatments. Don't miss the steam shower, it's a spa enthusiasts surprise. The continental breakfast was complete and had something for everyone. Great quality and the ease of self service right on the lakefront made for a great start of the day. The pool and jacuzzi were equally special, clean and cleverly decorated. The trains for us we're a kids novelty and our son loved the activity. We weren't disturbed by them inside the hotel when we slept. The beds and pillows were so comfortable that after a day playing on the lake we dozed off very happy campers. The only detail to be aware of that the hotel doesn't have is a full service all day restaurant. We used delivery for an in room pizza that we ended up enjoying on the patio table on the grass yard next to the lake. Our outdoor picnic was much more fun and a great family highlight to the alternative of eating out at a restaurant. We had a microwave, mini refrigerator and wet bar that made any snack readily accessible and available. The price was right for a great boutique hotel experience. Why buy a lake cabin when you have The Lodge, no cleaning, no upkeep, no fuss. We're already planning our next trip.

May 31, 2009 - Truly Romantic & Completely Restful - We spent a fantastic weekend at The Lodge on Detroit Lakes in the rejuvination suite! It was wonderfully relaxing. The rooms are beautiful and so comfortable. My husband was very impressed with the breakfast in the morning. Everything down to the minor details were taken care of and it was marvelous! This will be an annual retreat for us!

March 23, 2009 - On behalf of myself, and my three sisters, I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our time at the spa this past Saturday, March 21st. We were all impressed with the services we received and all of the staff that we came into contact with at your facility. The staff there exhibited professionalism and excellent service from the moment we entered - but they also weren't afraid to share some laughter and fun with us, too.

February 26, 2009 - Nice Spa and best place to stay in Detroit Lakes! We did three nights and several spa services. All we did was lounge all weekend and loved the large open common area with fireplace in the morning and evening. Evening drinks were available and we couldn't help but think how ideal this place would be without ice and snow! The breakfasts were provided and were excellent--many more options than the usual continental. Everything was tidy and clean with good service. It is only three years old and it still seemed like new! We ate at Fireside, Speak Easy and Zorbaz--each was different but with descent food. My favorite was the ribs at Fireside. Shopping was fun too--we got some great winter sale deals at Norby's. We could hear the trains at times, but never during the night, and stuff like that does not bother us being in the Twin Cities and all.

November 29, 2008 - The lodge and spa are top on our list of favorite getaways. We stayed at the Lodge twice and made use of the Spa Within both times. The lodge is a beautiful facility with a unique appearance created with the pine logs construction including the bathroom vanities. The services at the Spa are top notch as well.

October 22, 2008 - Thank you so much for getting our sales rep into The Lodge on Monday night. He absolutely loved the experience and I'm sure he'll be back next time he is through to the jewelry store. We'll have to hook him up with a massage! Thanks for your hospitality and he also loved your breakfast!!

September 11, 2008 - This is a gem - Their slogan is: "Service isn't a big thing, it's a million little things!"
There are so many "little" frills that it makes a gigantic difference! The rooms are clean and fresh but have special little extras that you stumble upon and think "That's a nice touch!" And the free breakfast in the morning is a thousand miles away from a "continential breakfast." The staff is professional. It feels like a vacation, even if you are on a business trip. This is perhaps the "best" place I have stayed in - anywhere.

September 10, 2008 - Amazing Hotel!!! I accidently found this hotel while on a business trip and have now told many friends and family. This hotel is located right on Lake Detroit and has beach access from your hotel room (1st floor access). This hotel includes free kayak rental and has a boat and fishing dock right on property.

August 26, 2008 - It seems like every time I book a trip for a vacation we are driving thousands of kilometers or flying through numerous airports and when the vacation is over, we are ready for a rest So I finally decided to do what my wife has been asking for for years and find a nice relaxing, nearby spot so we can just relax and recharge,. But, I'm also very fussy, so...where? I didn't want to travel very far but everything nearby was so familiar to us and I wanted to go somewhere new and exciting. When I goggled the resorts in nearby Minnesota, the area around Detroit Lakes stuck out as the most likely spot and when I did further, extensive research on the internet it became evident this was the best spot and The Lodge on Detroit Lake looked perfect. I booked a 3 day stay in one of the Retreat Rooms and then I did something I've never done before. For the first time ever I did not to tell my wife where we were going and told her that it was a surprise. This was a bit of a gamble but she has great faith in my tastes and went along with it. This worked out very well because she really seemed to enjoy the suspense and intrigue of not knowing where we were going. The Lodge lived up to my expectations and her hopes extremely well and we even extended our stay an extra night.
The resort was ideal for what I had in mind; a smaller resort overlooking a beautiful lake with an uncrowded sandy beach, an upper scale room, hot complimentary breakfast and extremely friendly and accommodating staff. As a matter of fact on our last day I asked if we could extend our stay and move to a Renewal suite for the extra night. Not only did they accommodate us but they moved all of our luggage for us while we were out shopping the following morning and .... this was done before noon so we could enjoy a full day in the new suite.
One of the additional benefits of the staying at the Lodge on Detroit Lake is it's close proximity to a great "casual/fine dining" establishment called The Fireside. We ate there 3 of the 4 days we were at the Lodge. We tried to visit other restaurants but kept coming back to the Fireside, which is about a 5 minute walk.
We also fell in love with the whole community and found the people to be as friendly as the people in New Foundland, who we consider the friendliest anywhere.

February 18, 2008 - We stayed a weekend at the Lodge in a family suite and were very impressed. The hotel staff was very attentive. We utilized the spa and had wonderful service there. The lounge is very nice and there was some great live jazz playing the night we were there. The hotel itself is very nice and new. Our suite was very clean and beautifully appointed with flat screen tv's, comfortable beds, soothing upscale decor, and a full kitchen with everything that you might need. The vending machines were even stocked with natural and organic teas, sodas and snacks. The view overlooking the frozen lake was beautiful as was everything about the Lodge. We will definitely be staying again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to unwind and relax.

January 19, 2008 - Fell in Love with The Lodge on Detroit Lakes. The Lodge on Detroit Lakes was one of the fabulous surprises you find once in a blue moon when you travel for business all year long. I was all too happy to sink into the comfort of my spacious yet very cozy room as I enjoyed the view of a spectacular frozen lake from the balcony. The staff was so accommodating that I felt like I was in a five star Hotel while the rates were no higher than the local 2-3 star properties. Thank God I had time to partake in the spa facilities. My massage was heavenly and the steam shower took all the days stress right down the drain.
Breakfast was wonderful and when I was busy I was able to order a nutritious dish to enjoy in my room while I worked.
From top to bottom The Lodge was truly a delight. I can't wait to get back.

September 3, 2007 - This is our second Labor Day weekend with you. We still are amazed at the quality put into every aspect of the place. Even the T.P. & Kleenex are nice and soft. And I just bought one of your bed pillows. The décor & furnishings are first rate. We'll definitely be back.

June 2007 - Just a note to tell you how FABULOUS your Lodge is. I'm so impressed with all the attention to detail. The wood is so wonderful. My favorite wood has always been knotty pine, and you have overwhelmed my senses at every turn. Such a lovely warm presentation. This should be a marquee hotel for all to learn from. Thank you so much for your creative energy and love that went into the manifestation of this superb establishment. All the best in the coming years.

May 2007 - My girlfriends from Minneapolis and Crookston and I stayed at The Lodge for a girls' getaway 4/28/07. Your facility was excellent and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The décor was unique and tasteful, the staff was very accommodating and friendly and the breakfast was great. We'll definitely be back.

March 24, 2007 - Thanks for the wonderful relaxing music that greeted us in our room. The bedding was so luxurious and the breakfast superb (especially the egg dish and waffles) and good coffee. We wish you the best in this beautiful endeavor. PS-- We also enjoyed the original Holland Motel with our kids years ago.

October 2006 - I just wanted to take a few moments and say thank you for recommending The Lodge on Lake Detroit. This past weekend I decided to treat my husband to a surprise getaway. He's been working really hard on our house and taking care of me as we are expecting our first child. I really wanted to do something special for him so I booked a room at The Lodge and signed him up for an hour massage in the Spa. Even though it's only 45 minutes from Fargo, it was nice to get away. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and he was pleasantly surprised and really loved the massage! We even went out for dinner at the Fireside and saw a beautiful sunset over the lake. I would definitely love to go back and enjoy another weekend there.

September 2006 - A Thank You From a Happy Guest: We just wanted to take a moment and thank you for a wonderful stay at your Lodge. The atmosphere was great, the surroundings were beautiful, and the service was excellent. The person who worked the front desk during our stay way very kind and helpful. She went out of her way to assist us when I discovered I was allergic to the down building. We definitely plan to stay with you on our next visit to Detroit Lakes, and have referred you Lodge to several of our family members. Thanks again.

2006 - You all make long term business travel a really pleasant experience. Being away from your friends and family around the holidays is extremely difficult, but you have thought of everything to make your guests comfortable and welcome. You are the friendliest and most efficient hotel staff I've ever encountered. Thank you so very much! PS- I would love the granola recipe- it's wonderful!
