Richwood Winery
Richwood Winery is a new winery that is opening to the public for the first time over Labor Day Weekend. It is only 15-20 miles from Detroit Lakes (by Buffalo Lake) and they will have a representive present at the event. We will be offering a sample of Their Marquette wine. The Marquette is a cold hardy variety developed by the University of Minnesota and it will revolutionize wine making in northern climates. Their Marquette has wonderful aromas of cherry, chocolate and fresh strawberries. It is easy on the palate and has a finish that leaves you wanting more. This wine pairs well with buffalo.
Brau Brother’s Brewery
Dustin Brau, of Brau Brother’s Brewery will also be present at the Farewell To Summer Event, where we’ll be featuring a Brau Brother’s Brewery Scotch Ale. Their Scotch Ale was originally brewed exclusively for beer shows. This award-winning ale has always been a Brau Brothers favorite! This is not your typical Scotch Ale. Combined with traditional malt sweetness is a distinct smoke flavor derived from authentic peat-smoked malt and it pairs great with grilled food!
Note: The live music for this event is open only to registered hotel guests and to those who have paid the event fee. Event attendees should stop at The Lodge's front desk upon arrival, to be issued a wristband (which allows you food and music privileges). Only those wearing a Lodge issued wristband will be allowed to stay & enjoy live music by Funk Commission.
