The Lodge's "Bubbling Over" Event, featuring a Sparkling Wines Tasting with Food Pairings, is a great opportunity to re-connect with your "someone special" and friends.

$35 + tax & gratuity per person includes admission to the 5:30 pm. tasting which includes 4 sparkling wines, food pairings served family style. Also included is a 'drink ticket' for 1 free glass of sparkling wine at the bar to enjoy during "LIVE at The Lodge", 7-10pm, following the tasting. Advance reservations are required for the tasting, a minimum of 72 hours prior to event. Space is limited, so be sure to call in soon. For event reservations, call: 218-847-8439.

The "Wine Tasting" dinner starts at 5:30 pm in The Lodge's 1200 Place, with seating at 8 person banquet tables. Wine Sommelier, Scott Lindman, will host the event & present 4 wines. He'll talk history, pairings & mixing!

Event attendees will get to taste the #43 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2011, Gruet Blanc de Noirs: The rich and toasty character of the Blanc de Noirs is balanced and superb. Aged for two-year minimum, the palate is developed and shows rich complex flavors. The amazing berries aromas and the creamy texture play a leading role and create a great finesse. Winemaker's Note: A fine salmon color, aggressive mousse and a lovely fruity wine with plenty of immediate charm and toasty aromas. There is also an explosive juicy flavor of raspberry.

7-10 pm, Immediately following the "Bubbling Over" tasting event, linger & unwind to live jazz by Ferreira 4 in The Lodge's cozy, 2-story fireside, lakefront, lobby bar area. Musicians include David Ferreira- vocals/piano, Russ Peterson-sax, Doug Neill-bass, Jim Knudson-drums. No cover charge. Open to the public, hotel guests, and tasting attendees.
