Our Guests Love Us – But don't take our word for it!
TripAdvisor is the leading online travel review website. You won't find many hotels that provide a direct link to their reviews (for obvious reasons). We do, however, because we know how hard we work to provide the best stay possible for our guests. Our reviewers know it, and so will you after only one stay.
January 28, 2010 - We've stayed with BEST WESTERN PREMIER the Lodge on Lake Detroit for 5 or 6 years now over the Christmas holiday season. We come to DL to visit family, but secretly we love to com to DL so we can stay a this hotel! As for as hotels go for this region, it's on a whole other level. This is the quality of Lodge-style you would find in more of a metropolitan area that would require a higher standard. Nothing in the area touches this hotel as far as uniqueness, quality, comfort and cleanliness.
The rooms are modern, stylish and well kept. Flat screen TVs, timber-style bathroom fixtures, beautiful tile and full glass showers... I could go on and on. Not to mention you are always welcomed to your room by the serene sounds of the sound of loons or other calming sights and sounds. A quaint lobby bar offers nice array of beers and wines and the peaceful surroundings and views from the lobby sitting area make for a perfect place to wind down.
The Spa is a very nice way to take some time for yourself on any stay. We make a point for getting massages or some other form of relaxation with them every time we come.
The price is not the cheapest in town, but it's only SLIGHTLY higher than the other hotels in town, yet VASTLY superior in all categories. I'm a fairly frugal traveler, and I have high standards and frankly they meet and exceed any and all standards for the price!
