Looking for something big to do in Lake Detroit? Our Detroit Lakes event calendar is the place to start.

Music permeates many community events - from the Street Faire at the Lakes and Art in the Park to the Northwest Water Carnival and even area Native American Pow Wows.

Country music lovers know about Detroit Lakes - the host city of WE Fest, a three-day celebration of Country Western music. Or do you prefer the Big Band sound or maybe a musical? The Holmes Theatre offers patrons diverse culture performances. Or, if you're more in tune with folk and alternative music, come in July to be part of the new 10,000 Lakes Festival.

Experience history among the colors, the pageantry and traditions of Native Americans living in the Detroit Lakes area. Some Pow Wows have been running more than a century.

While Summer's super in Detroit Lakes, come back when the temperature drops and Minnesota in a covered in blanket of white. Our many events and activities range from sled dog racing to Christmas parades, and include hockey, ice skating, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and even curling. A few crazy people even take a Polar Plunge in Little Detroit Lake every February.
