  • Great Getaway!Great Getaway!

We discovered this hotel last year. We have visited this place three times now. It's a quiet getaway with relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are well maintained. The lobby and lounge overlook the lake with large windows. Our room had a private balcony facing the lake. Definitely one of our favorite places to stay. It is priced a little higher, but I think it's overall a great place to stay.

  • Great experience!Great experience!

Great experience. Love the lakefront setting. Second time staying there. First time was a business/group experience--had a blast. Thanks.

  • Gorgeous View!Gorgeous View!

Either an updated or newer hotel, right on the lake with a gorgeous view!

I went here for a retreat with my coworkers; the experience was simply wonderful. The staff was so warm and welcoming, the breakfast was very delicious. Don't even get me started on the rooms! They were very beautiful, with a mini fridge, microwave, and beautiful bathroom.

They had a rocking chair, desk, and a nice TV; but who needs a TV with a view like they have? I had a ground floor room, so I could walk right out of my room to the back, where they have a little "beach" and dock, a place for bon fires and a picnic tables. I had no choice but to go to The Lodge, this was a work retreat; but I am most definitely going to be making plans to come back here for myself when I need a little getaway. This place was simply splendid!!

  • Best Best Western I have stayed at.Best Best Western I have stayed at.

This Motel is right on the lake and has a very nice décor. All rooms are lake facing and the furnishing looked almost new. My room included a refrigerator and microwave and a small balcony. The exercise facility contained top end equipment and a nice variety of machines and free weights. They serve a hot breakfast that was good, but it never changed all week. A little variety would have been nice. Over all this was a very comfortable place.

  • Anniversary.Anniversary.

This is the second time we stayed at The Lodge. Both times we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The rooms are great, we enjoy the view of the lake, it is very clean, staff are very friendly, and close to a great restaurant.

  • Fantastic LodgeFantastic Lodge

This is much more of a lodge than a hotel. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The are native wild flower gardens, a very clean beach, fire pits. (wood provided and smores kits at the front desk), and a dock where the kids caught a ton of fish.

We stayed with our kids for 3 nights and could have spent the whole time at the lodge. Breakfast was very well done for a continental and we loved eating on the balcony. We had a ground level room and sat and watched the sun set on the lake every night. The spa was very nice and the whole place immanently clean. I am thoroughly impressed, Best Western Premier. Thank you!

  • Thank you for the warm hospitality!Thank you for the warm hospitality!

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel that feels more like a resort. Everything from the service, the food, the rooms with a beach front view, it was a fabulous experience! I don't have one single negative thing to say about this location . . .

The staff was so accommodating and eager to help in anyway they could. Detroit Lakes is such a fun, lake/beach town that I will for sure be traveling to again! Thank you for the warm hospitality!

  • By far the BEST!By far the BEST!

I have stayed in many hotels for my boys hockey tournaments and this one was by far the BEST one I have stayed in. I would really like to get up there in the summer to enjoy the lake and the awesome view this hotel has.
